Meet SydNEY
Sydney began her fitness journey in 2018, when a high school Life Fitness class first introduced her to yoga and strength training. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a passion for movement, helping her develop both mentally and physically as an athlete. She played varsity soccer for four years at Branford High School and continued at Roger Williams University, where she studied Biology and Chemistry.
During college, a demanding course load and the impact of COVID led Sydney to explore new ways to stay active and manage stress. She found herself drawn to yoga and eventually Pilates. While Pilates didn’t come easily at first, she embraced the challenge. Through consistent practice and guidance from her instructors, Sydney developed a deep connection to core engagement, breathwork, and intentional movement—discovering strength and control in ways she hadn’t experienced before.
Inspired by the positive impact Pilates had on her strength, mobility, and everyday life, Sydney pursued her Pilates Instructor Certification through Body Karma Studio in Clinton. She is passionate about helping others experience the same benefits, from improved posture and core strength to greater body awareness and overall well-being. In her classes, Sydney combines her athletic background with mindful movement to create fun, challenging, and accessible workouts for all levels. She aims to empower clients to build strength, confidence, and a deeper connection to their bodies.
Outside the studio, Sydney works as a Chemist at Medtronic, where she evaluates the cleanability of medical devices. She has also been coaching soccer in Madison since 2021, mentoring young female athletes and fostering a love for movement and teamwork. In her free time, Sydney enjoys staying active—whether hiking, playing pickleball or basketball, or spending time outdoors. She values time with family and friends, loves to travel, and is always eager to try something new. If there’s an adventure and activity to be had, Sydney is all in.
